“Building On What We’ve Got Going” (South Bay Polys #272 - September 2018)

To think I almost cancelled last month’s meeting because of WorldCon!  I thought everyone might be there!  Glad I didn’t.  What a wonderful meeting we had last month!  Many new people, and wonderful discussions over our food!  I so enjoyed meeting you all who attended!

And thanks to those readers and attendees who offered comments and clarifications of the term “asexuality”—much appreciated.  It is always good to share perspectives and learn from one another!

Now, as we head into the autumn, I continue to muse—as always—on questions such as:

What attracts people to one another?  How do we flow with that attraction—or not?  How do we know when a relationship is not “right?”

On the other (happier) hand:  How do we know when a relationship is right—and strengthen it?

And—maybe most important (at least for some of us):  In this monogamy-oriented culture, how do we affirm the beauty and validity of our own non-monogamous orientations?

I hope we can have another good meeting (and discussion) this Saturday!  Thanks!
